The saga continues with a mouthful of eponymous flavors & cacao nibs, wild Thai banana, cinnamon and milk sugar. Like heading south for the winter. Collaboration with J. Wakefield Brewing.

Poured from the bottle (can't recall the release date) into a festival tasting glass

L: deep black/brown, moderate head after a semi-aggressive pour, quite effervescent. Good amount of floaties, acting in the place of lacing as well - not my thing

S: i'm expecting a candy bar, so rewarded in that regard. Rich, chocolatey nose with that banana note OH loves. Good amount of cinnamon, works very well. Trying to not let the laundry list of adjuncts dictate what I find - do think I get coconut, possibly almond. Most impressive is that it's sweet (duh) but managed not to be cloying/artificial

T: bit of a mess here. That cinnamon comes through nicely, on a fudgy/brownie chocolate base. Kinda hit with everything at once, and there's that medicinal finish I've gotten from a handful of OH stouts. Clearly aiming to be over the top, but just muddled in the end. Medium/long finish, abv heat there at the end

F: great mouthfeel, carbonation a tad high but fine

O: nose delivers that candy bar/dessert aspect I wanted, taste is messy with the adjuncts blurring together. Almost seems like a kitchen sink list of additions, and I feel weird complaining about balance when it comes to a pastry stout, but here we are

Too sweet. Just another snowbird. Yawn. Barrel aged versions win this year by a mile.

This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small head, and no real lacing.

This smells like an exploded candy factory. There's probably (definitely) too many things in here. There's a lot of maple, coconut, and almond, with a touch of very sugary banana.

This is undeniably delicious, but it's also just so sweet, and so not-beer-like. I don't get really get much cinnamon, which is pretty good I suppose. There's no roast, and the chocolate of the base stout is basically just chocolate syrup. Other than the cinnamon, you get basically all the flavors mentioned. The ice cream and milk sugar really affect a lot here, as it does basically feel like melted chocolate ice cream at times.

This is thick and syrupy, and hides the booze fairly well. It's surprisingly drinkable.

This is ridiculous, and definitely has to be shared - this would be a nearly impossible solo dome. It's definitely tasty, though.
