31 October 2020 - Beer #203
Price: $24.00 at the brewery
Appearance: 3 - actually looks a bit brown. I was looking at the lovely alcohol coating the glass when I noticed, yep, the floaties!!! Dun dun dun! Eww.
Nose: 4 - mostly coconut, not much of anything else, barrel included.
Taste: 5 - yowza! Is the ever a metric crapton of flavor! Still mostly coconut, but a for sure get the chocolate and the pecans as well as the barrel. Whoa.
Mouth: 5 - thick enough to nearly choke me. I swallowed it a couple of minutes ago, but I'm still swallowing it.
Overall: 5 - nice to have something Horus-y get the barrel treatment. A+.
Cheers!

Wow - this beer is no joke. Hits like a sledgehammer all around. Huge nuts on the nose with a really nice vanilla and cocoa bourbon wallop. Taste is really sweet and if it weren’t for the bitter, dark malts it would be too much. Mouthfeel could be better too. All in all, probably could’ve used a bit more time to calm down and meld, but still an outstanding beer
