This was yet another beer that I picked up in Brooklyn that was brewed upstate and brought down to my neck of the woods. Of course, I love S'mores because of the sweet, grainy, and sticky nature of them and how well the disparate parts ended up melding well together. Yeah, I've had a few beers with those attributes and although this wasn't the best of the bunch, this was a fun and accessible take on the style that would please many without offending anyone!

Like any Stout, this had a dark pour to it as it looked life coffee in my pint glass with a frothy, tan head topping it off. Although that didn't last too long, it was better than the lacing left behind as the few bubbles that lingered after each sip quickly slid down the side of my pint glass. Loads of vanilla extract, marshmallow sweetness, graham cracker, and cacao nibs were in the nose as this had a subtly roasted and toasted undertone to it that made it felt like it was brewed via campfire. Subtly sticky and powdery, there was so much to enjoy here as it had a nicely crafted feel to it and a stickiness to it that felt like a cross between molasses and marshmallow.

Sure, there was booze here as this was not a weak beer but the alcohol never felt like a detraction from all of the ingredients that went into this. Indeed, this was an English Sweet/Milk Stout that had enough lactose and creaminess to it to tone the rougher edges down as this did indeed feel like a treat from the camping days of yesterday. Canned on 1/16/20 with what appeared to be "PROBLEMS SMORE PROBLEMS" written above it, this was a brew that felt handcrafted, down to the body of barley and lactose sweetness that held everything together. Can't find a fire to gather around during these trying times? Grab a can of this and kick back to the memories of yesteryear that this invoked...
