Cloudy orange. Medium-sized, white head. Sweet, tropical fruits, malt, and a hint of booze in the aroma. Moderately sweet, with hoppy bitterness at the end. Good in general, but far from being a favorite.

This beer pours a hazy pineapple color that approaches murky and sports a creamy white head that laces the glass nicely. A nose that hurls dank passion fruit, pineapple, and ripe grapefruit notes at you from the pop of the top invites you to grab a drink - quickly.
The passion fruit and pineapple are forward on the taste, with plenty of grapefruit and a nice sweet oat flavor for balance. Delicious beer.
The mouthfeel is full and substantial, approaching chewy, which isn’t a surprise give the 10% ABV heft of this beer. It has some whiskers but still drinks really well. What a magnificent brewery Other Half is.

It took me a little while to figure out that this was the 6th Anniversary recipe re-released for the 8th Anniversary.
Not a lot of head or lacing. Color is on the lighter side, yet it's thoroughly opaque. Usually if it's this shade of color, I can at least wave my finger behind it and see that. Not here. Nothing. Points.
Nice juicy, acidic fruits dominate the smell. There's pineapple, characteristics of both red and white grapefruit, and a light pine scent that shades toward cedar. Great intensity, too, even though it's still plenty cold.
For the taste, I get slammed with papaya and melon, and maybe a little guava. There's also a savory, oily nut element, along the lines of walnut and hazelnut, although those specific flavors aren't particularly distinct. Citrus is well in the back, and it comes across like a mere accent of lemon. The pine tree is definitely detectable, although again dialed way back. Sweetness is moderate, bitterness is light, and everything just plays together so well.
Well integrated very fine carbonation, although it takes some agitation to get out. The pine tree and oil nut aftertaste is far behind the taste, and the bitterness hits more. Alcohol is well hidden for a tenner. Medium-heavy weight for the type.
