Collaboration with The Veil Brewing Co.
Formerly Freaky Friday: White Ferrari
A Freak Week twist on a classic from The Veil. We turned White Ferrari into an imperial oat cream IPA but it's still hopped with the classic combo of Citra and Galaxy. From The Veil: white ferrari is a beer that has been a long time in the making. We've been experimenting with different malt and hop combinations through other recipes, trying to find what we believe is the best of both worlds rolled into one DIPA. Clocking in at 8%, this luxuriously soft DIPA is hopped intensely with 50/50 Citra and Galaxy(and a ton of it!). We used the freshest crop available of each hop to give this DIPA the most expressive hop character possible

LOOK: Pours a highly hazed deep gold color including some orange hues and a shade less than a pure white head. Head retention is very good and the glass lace is outstanding
AROMA: Strong dank pine and tart citrus. Grapefruit, orange, and topicals.
TASTE: Nice smooth NEIPA with orange heading the list of citrus flavors.
This was an excellent NEIPA that a friend gave me a 4 pack off. The price of the 4 pack will in all likely hood keep it our of my fridge going forward.

This was the last of the Freak Week beers that I picked up at Other Half a few months back as it took me a while to get around to. This sounded great from it's description and although this wasn't a letdown by any means, it was a bit more pedestrian than I would have liked. Fans of Other Half or The Veil won't be disappointed by this as it went down quite easily from the get-go!
Plenty golden and cloudy, there was enough fluffy head to top this off although it settled quickly once the big bubbles burst. The lack of lacing was this beer's biggest drawback as there wasn't much of anything left behind on my glass, Tons of lychee, oat cream, and stone fruit in the nose as the peach and dankness from the Galaxy really emerged in the taste once this fully warmed up. Smooth and creamy, this felt like a true dessert beer because of the overt sweetness and complementary flavors - down to the turbid tangerine in the back.
The body was quite full and the carbonation sufficient as it kept this light while not overshadowing the fruit flavors and sweetness. Couldn't read the canning date on the bottom, although there was a bit of sediment that I had to swirl out of the bottom of the liquid. Plenty to kick back with here if you know what you want, as these guys delivered with ease once again!

Phenomenal Hazy DIPA. Citrus, juicy, fantastic nose, beautiful lacing in the pint glass. I had this a few years on tap at the brewery in a red wine glass and am enjoying it now from a pint glass (poured from a can) at Percent in Daegu, Korea. Just phenomenal.

Tall can, date 4/17/20
Typical terrific looking OH pour, hazed/clouded, leaving gobs of quality looking, fields of fine bubble splattered sheeting and lacing.
Ripe tropical fruit nose, with mango, pineapple and stone fruits coming to mind.
Soft, supple, flavorful and complex NEDIPA, with the notes from the nose spilling onto the palate. Also getting some lime, melon, and a minty snap....delicious and well worth a try. Go get some....
