This was yet another Chroma beer that I picked up in Brooklyn although it was brewed up in Rochester. Like most of the others, it featured one hop, was simplistically beautiful, and quite easy on the palate from start to finish. It didn't hurt that the label was beautiful and kept with a common theme, but the liquid was lovely and on par with what I've come to expect from Other Half!

Of course, this had a lovely look to the pour as the liquid was golden, hazy, and let in enough light to be on par with the other sensory aspects that it had. Not a large head to this but the lacing left behind was really wondrous as there was a thin and wavy ring near the top with a thicker one right below that. Below that was a near-perfect array of sudsy dots with a U-shaped section of section of deeper and more random suds around that. Never saw anything quite like that as I loved this beer's appearance Lots of deep, floral Citra in the nose as there was lots of Orange Blossom in the aroma as well. Lively lime, deep oranges, and some exotic earthiness shone through as the taste was just as deep and subtly bright as the smell indicated. Slick, smooth, and easygoing, the malt was a bit crystalline as this was a filling beer that let the Citra shine through quite easily.

Hard to detect the alcohol in this as I warmed up a bit while drinking this without feeling like this was too strong or overpowering. A hint of vegetable funk lingered in the aftertaste along with some Galaxy-like dankness that helped give this gravitas as this was not your typical sweet and juicy Citra beer. Canned on 2/12, this held up well as there wasn't any visible sediment as it easily left me wanting more. Keep these Chroma beers coming - they're such a wonderful series!
