This single hop series uses our pared down, soft and pillowy base recipe designed to highlight the best in hops. Simcoe Chroma uses our hand selected, lush pineapple forward Simcoe hops. This DDH version gets even more T-90 Simcoe pellets as well as a dose of Simcoe Cryo hops.

Hazy, yellow color. Big, white head. Pineapple and some resin in the aroma. Hoppy bitterness is well pronounced. Juicy as usual, tasty as usual but a bit boring at this point.

Sharp carb over dank pineapple that finishes spiced and oniony. Almost drinks more like a pale without the residual bitterness. Red berry sweetness on the nose. Well-executed but I just personally prefer higher gravity.

7/27/21 can from FLX. Pours a hazy pale gold with a finger of rocky white head that sticks around, nice lacing, smell is dank and musty grapefruit skin, overripe peach, pineapple, cantaloupe rind, and lime, taste is lime and grapefruit zest, hints of tropical fruit and pineapple upside down cake, herbaceous and pithy finish, feel is somewhat thin, mild hop burn. A citrusy and bitter potion with a big nose.

L - nice bright, opaque straw yellow. Clinically white head that leaves legs.

S - light flowers, berries, and lemon candy. Ripe starfruit and far away cantaloupe.

T - mixed berries, a mish-mash of bloobs, raspberries, cherries, and apples. Sweet pine and fresh, toasty winter air.

F - silky and somewhat sticky. Low on carb with a nice late sip creaminess from the mild frothing.

O - errs less toward the OH juicy side of things and more toward the Magic Green Nuggets side. Orangey candy and sweet, sugary decadence.

Pours a hazy gold with some pine in the taste. Also some citrus and a classic other half combination of flavors. Its a light bodied beer with good haze.

This one pours a hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like piney and grassy hops, orange, melon, and lots of pineapple.

This is yet another good entry in this series. It's super pineapple and pine-forward, with some melon and orange peel too. It's got a firm bitterness, clean hop character, with no hop burn.

This is light bodied, clean, and crisp, with no hint of booze - this is my golden area when it comes to IPA ABVs.

This series represents one of the few IPAs I actually look forward to these days.
