The newest addition to the Chroma family and it's a good one. Strata is our newest hop love interest with its big strawberry notes followed by a beautiful dankness. This is all supported by a clean malt bill designed to let the hops shine.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazy golden pour with big fluffy white head. Great lacing.

S: Citrus and pine mixed with tropical fruit.

T.F: Follows the nose. Grapefruit and citrus... good pine flavor. Berry, mango, and a bit of resin. Nice mix of flavors... plus a bit of peppercorn. Dank... medium to light bodied. Smooth... with more pine/citrus to finish.

O: A well done and flavorful IPA. Lower ABV so very drinkable. My first beer from 'Other Half'... and looking forward to more.

Pours a cloudy light straw color, ample foamy head. Sharp dank aroma, earthy, musty. Flavor is very dank, guava, light citrus in the background, light bitterness on the finish. Carbonation is appropriate, light to medium feel. Overall a delicious dank ipa, loads of flavor for 6.3%. Drank next to Motueka Chroma. Would buy again. Love the dankness.

On tap at Other Half Brewing Company in Bloomfield, NY. I guess this is one of the first new beers in the Chroma series that didn't have a former color-named counterpart.

This one pours a fairly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like strawberry, mango, cedar, and pine.

The Chroma series is absolutely my favorite current OH hop series - the lower ABV tends to lend itself towards brigher hop character in a more approachable and drinkable package. The strata hops give a very unique strawberry and woody cedar bitterness to it, along with more typical mango and citrus, and some bitter piney resinous. I like how these beers tend to actually have a bit of bitterness to them - kind of like how I remember OH was in the first few years of being around.

This is light bodied, creamy, and pithy, with a great drinkability to it.

I will try any beer in the Chroma series. This is very nice.

Pale golden haze with plenty of lacing. Lots of tropical fruit and berry notes on the nose with a touch of sugar caramelization hints. This a really drinkable and pleasant NEIPA but I'm not sure what their Chroma series is all about. On the website it mentions a simple bill of oats and pils malt. This particular Chroma is bread with a hop, Strata, that I am completely unfamiliar with. I has a nice backbone of malt that mashes up nicely with the berry notes. The hop has a nice bite to it and curiously lacks any pine or resin notes that hops typically do. That is not a knock just an observation. Finished smoothly and very drinkable at 6.3%.
