I can barely find any info on this online. Does it even exist? Am I even real? Who said that?!
L - pop the top and out comes a thin layer of pure, high-density foam. Slips off the surface and into my glass. Leaves an amber-gold opaque haze in the glass with a huge, billowing white head. Moves like Jello-O. The inside of the head mass stays stationary while the outer ribs gyroscopically stabilize the core. Neat.
S - whole lemons and sauvignon blanc. Old and musty. Overripe pineapples, sourdough bread, and blended-up oats.
T - peppery and zesty, yet fruity and sweet at the same time. Bright and punchy. Like firecrackers for your facehole. More of that grainy, oat-infused twang. Orange Tang and a little West Coast zip with its sweet malts and crisp caramel candied pine cones. Loads of mixed berries. Finishes with a touch of booze and sugary saturation.
F - milkshake. I expected nothing less from a 10% oat IPA of course. Thiqq, creamy, chewy. A meal for your liver.
O - is this what an oat-fueled west coast IPA tastes like? Not a lot of typical OH NEIPA fruitiness, but a great splash of berries, orange syrup, and oats to smooth and liquify all the sharp edges. A bit boozy as it warms, but that's how you know it's working.
