A love letter from our BK crew to our Bloomfield crew for their 1st Anniversary. This big imperial stout is conditioned on royal cinnamon, toasted coconut and coffee.

Extremely dark brown while pouring, it is black in the glass, with no highlights. A golden brown head flashes, never again to be seen. A thick, long-lasting, viscus film produces no legs on the wall of a PBGC Snifter.
Dates and alcohol fumes are immediately apparent and followed by a strong whiff of cinnamon. Vanilla extract leads to raw coconut. I detected no coffee.
The flavor follows the aroma very closely, though black coffee is clearly present. This Stout is very sweet with light roasted malt and faint malt bitterness preventing it from becoming cloying. Semi-sweet chocolate is prominent in the finish as a pop of flavor very late.
The dense body helps achieve a soft and smooth texture. Alcohol is strong, without any heat, which is a surprise, given the 16% ABV. A modest, spicy heat is given off by the cinnamon in this essentially flat beer.
This is a good beer to pair with quiet contemplation outside on a mild and sunny early autumn afternoon. It would also pair well with a dark cigar.

On tap at Other Half - Finger Lakes in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like big roasty coffee, cookie dough, vanilla, light cinnamon dusting, and caramel.
This is absolutely one of the best Other Half stouts I've had in a bit - I was souring a bit on them overall. The coffee is really awesome in this one - bright, maple-y, caramelly, fruity, etc. There's some vanilla and chocolate fudge, with a creamy coconut truffle sort of flavor as well. The cinnamon is light, as it should be.
This is medium bodied, and very creamy, with no real booziness to it all. Most Other Half stouts tend to completely hide the booze very well.
This has me curious about trying Other Half stouts again.
