New Zealand Riwaka is one of the hardest hops to obtain due to its poor agronomics, farmers don't like to grow difficult hops. It's also one of the most exciting and complex with big passion fruit and grapefruit notes. A true star of the New Zealand hop growing region. We are lucky enough to have acquired a good amount to play with and this IPA with its paired down grain bill is perfect to let this amazing hop shine.

Hazy, yellow color. Big, white head. Citrus, resin, and sesame seeds in the aroma.Juicy, moderately bitter taste. Easy to drink. An interesting variation for sure.

Slight effervescent ashy bone white colored froth... Limited retention... Color is an exceedingly pale peach color with a faint haziness... Nose is more muted than expected... Guava, papaya and bologna(?).... Palate is pleasant with the fruity notes at the forefront followed by some faint grassy and earthy character... Medium bodied, fairly dense, crisp with moderate carbonated bite... Simple and enjoyable brew.... Showcases the Riwaka hop well...

This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like passionfruit, pithy grapefruit, malt, and marijuana.
This is pretty tasty, but it's one of the lesser Chromas I've had. It's quite pithy, green, and bitter, but there's a really nice passionfruit and sweet pink grapefruit flavor here. It's also just a touch malty.
This is light bodied, crisp, but a little bit astringent on the back end.
I always enjoy the Chroma series, and I enjoyed this one. It's definitely on the lower end for the series, though.
