Honestly, I don’t even know what’s going on right now. I’m drinking this pretty good beer while my French girlfriend is making me learn her language - and also while she chastises me for being a bit too lethargic. Hell, I can smell dinner and I want some - but I have to do the dishes first.
Cheers.

Vanilla for days. Sweet without crossing the line into cloying. Really tastes like chocolate fudge with marshmallows, with a slightly boozy finish. Awesome dessert beer.

The pour is very dark brown, with golden amber highlights. Within a PBGC Imperial 2 Snifter, the beer is black. An every so faint and delicate fog flashes over the top, leaving a whisper-thin ring of lace. The beer looks very dense and syrupy, yet leaves no legs when tilted or swirled.
The aroma is rich, dark, and sweet. Fresh vanilla is strong, followed by marshmallow and alcohol fumes. Dark chocolate brings up the rear. Slight warmth reveals an indescript fruitiness, then a suggestion of coconut, and ultimately, roasted malt.
The balance is impressive, given how strong this beer is and the intensity of flavors. The flavors generally follow the nose, with a fair amount of roasted bitterness against sweet malt. The toasted marshmallow flavor, while intense, if far from overpowering. This flavor is saturating. Juicy Fruit gum develops with warmth. The finish is long, mild, and fruity.
The body is dense with a soft, smooth texture. Very fine carbonation helps to cleanse the tongue of syrupy, residual sugar. Alcohol, while strong, is well below expectations and far from hot.
This is a contemplative beer. I enjoyed it while reading and imagine it would be spectacular while watching the stars and sitting around a fire. It may also pair well with a cigar. This is a well-done Pastry Stout. It is a perfect accompaniment to autumn weather.

8 ball black with a tan head that dies to a silky still surface instantly.
Marshmallow is certainly present on the nose, but the vanilla turns into banana skin on the palate. The brew in general is also a little sharp and hot, cutting the sticky viscous body to a moderate heft, further so with its finely cutting carbonation, bringing in accents of almond chocolate bar.
It's just so hot, finishing so dry, only becoming more hot over time... It's super hot.
