Poured from a can (25Sep2020) into a Teku
L: pours a dirty dark orange, totally opaque, large slightly off white (jaundiced) head. Head fades after a couple minutes, leaves some large bubbles and thick lacing. Nice lacing left with each sip as well
S: great overripe and dank tropical fruit nose, full and inviting. Get cantaloupe, mango, passionfruit, guava, papaya, some citrus bitterness in the background but that rich tropical sweetness leads
T: follows the nose, get more melon here but that full dank tropical fruit is very much present. Get mango, passionfruit, papaya, some of that citrus (orange, grapefruit) bitterness as well helping provide a contrast to the general rich/dank tropical taste. Medium+ finish, a bit more bitterness here but not hop burn or something similar
F: medium carbonation, medium+ body, quite smooth, slightly drying from that bitter note on the swallow. Repeating the above, as it warms get that almost peanut butter creamy nature, again quite smooth
O: a solid IPA from OH, in-line with expectations (generally high - outstanding or bust!) but nothing that I would call truly remarkable. Haven’t had the beer it’s based on so unable to make a real comparison - generally a good NEIPA with those tropical notes you expect and a bit of bitterness as well

Can from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours a hazy dark golden orange with creamy white head and nice lacing, smell is dank tropical cotton candy, peppery hop candy, orange pith, taste is honeydew melon, papaya, orange slices, and hints of mango, dashes of sour cream and onion/mashed potatoes, vegetal/pine bitterness on the finish, feel is medium bodied, creamy, and dry. An aggressive heavy hitting IPA, like sucking on some whole leaf hops. Looking forward to someday trying the original version from Parish. Yum!

Share with DC, can to snifter.
LOOK: pulpy dark yellow color, big creamy head. Very pretty.
AROMA: citrus, wood, palm. A touch light, but pleasant.
TASTE: citrus, hair spray, touch of berry, biscuit, some chemical notes. A little harsh, but there are some good flavors here that need getting into.
FEEL: medium+ body, smooth, coating,
Very interesting.
