Patchwork was devised as a series to highlight our hand selected Mosaic hops mixed up with a few of our other favorites in the hop cannon. We worked with artist @eiziv to make these cool labels. V1 contains Motueka and Nelson Sauvin from our friends @freeestylehops in addition to all that Mosaic goodness.

L - liking the can colors. The beer colors slightly less so. Ripe orange juice darkened with a splash of apple cider. Yeah. Nice-looking head though with creamy lacing.

S - fresh and underripe fruit flavors... maybe "underripe" isn't the right word. Think of how fruit changes in flavor after it's been frozen. Not as decadently juicy and a whole lot more icy. Not bad, but lighter all around. Watermelon bubblegum, kiwi slices, and grape lollipops.

T - strawberry kiwi smoothie up front. Strawberry creme savers with a hint of cheesecake. Deceptively rich; those lighter fruity flavors pack a sugary punch toward the end that's cut with hoppy bitterness at just the right time. Maybe a bit of mango, banana, and berries. Finish is mostly herbal and dry.

F - tastes and smells like it should be on the lighter side, and it seems that way at first... but then the thiccness hits. As I work my way through chewing this, subtle vanilla comes through. Neat.

O - digging the balance of flavor for a beer with tasting notes that are often jarring or sharp or pointy, if that makes any sense. Kiwi can be almost sour at times because it's so potent, but strangely doesn't give off a huge blast of flavor. The fruit flavor waves here are of a lower amplitude than usual OH stuff. They may not make themselves loudly known, but they sure do penetrate for a lasting and intriguing flavor. Lots of pointy edges all corralled together by a blanket of fuckin' cheesecake. I'm just rambling now, but this is pretty good stuff.
