My first experience with Other Half Brewing AND cashmere hops!!! Mild but pretty enjoyable!!! Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer had the standard good NE IPA "look": Hazy pale straw yellow color, medium sized foamy white head, good retention and lacing. The aroma and taste were a bit different though based on the single hop basis for the beer. Cashmere hops appear to provide a sweeter and more delicate flavor featuring lemon. The typical NE IPA is heavy on other citrus (usually orange/tangerine or grapefruit). Both feature some tropical fruit but again, the cashmere hops flavor is more muted. Cashmere Everything has a moderate amount of bitterness, is a bit sweet and goes down fairly easily. I had it with a chicken and rice dinner and it paired up well. A strong tasting meal would have rendered this beer more invisible. I would want a stronger tasting IPA with Thai or Mexican. In all, a good beer. I will probably be coming across more Cashmere hops in the future,

Pours a hazy, murky golden orange color. 2 finger fluffy white head. Lots of nice lacing as the head dissipates, and the retention is good.
The nose has a mild pineapple aroma. Not too strong, but nice.
Taste - like the nose, a mellow, but pleasing pineapple flavor.
The body is good, and has a softer feel to it.
Tasty IPA. Good to try.

Not that I could rate this low but I don’t think that the “small” series fits my favored profile. It’s more “watery” and less potent on the nose than most of their brews. Still looks like a hazy pillowy headed beauty with lacing abounding on this brew. They even manage a somewhat creamy feel out of a less flavored brew.

Woodsy, coconut aroma. Stone fruit, cantaloupe and more melon as it comes up in temperature.
Creamy lime and coconut flavor combination...unique.
