One of the most complex and powerful hops on the planet. It's a palette twister with big juicy grapefruit, passion fruit, kumquat and tropical fruit. Big thanks to our friends Freestyle Hops for providing us with incredible Riwaka.

From DC Brewery
2 16oz cans, less than a week old.
Breakfast juice/smoothy! Soft, full mouthfeel. Both the aroma and flavor is expressive, citrusy/oily and redolent of grapefruits ....the whole thing....juice, skin, oil, etc. Some passionfruit and perhaps clementine (I eat a lot of these). Flavors are both big and soft at the same time. There is a slight sweetness that perhaps a tad too strong, but this is another top flight beer from OH.
Very easy to drink at 10.50% abv. I put a couple down way too fast. Watch out!

I'm typically not a triple fan but this didn't taste too boozy.

I try not to give beers perfect scores. It's subjective, and kinda unattainable. But this is f'n ridiculously good!
Looks like the most beautiful orange juice with a smell of orange/ grapefruit rind to match.
The mouth feel is pillowy, but not overly fluffy. At 10.5% ABV, it drinks like a summer sipper. And it doesn't taste boozy at all. You hardly notice it's 10.5 until you've had 2 of them...

Poured from a can (09Dec2020) into a Teku
L: pours a totally opaque slightly creamy darker yellow orange with a dense white head. Leaves moderate lacing as the head fades, bit with each sip too
S: rich inviting tropical nose with a bit of earthy bitterness offsetting the sweeter fruit. Get some sweet melon, passionfruit, mango, pineapple, and papaya notes, bit of citrusy bitterness (grapefruit, orange), with a more vegetal aroma as well. Some abv there, sweet and creamy overall
T: incredibly juicy and tropical, honestly remarkable. Tropical flavor leads, lots of melon and mix of pineapple/mango/passionfruit/papaya. There’s a bit of citrusy grapefruit bitterness toward the finish as well as a slightly earthy flavor, but those sweeter tropical fruit notes dominate. No trace of abv heat besides a bit of warming, nice and creamy fruit punch
F: medium+ body, medium carbonation, very smooth, incredibly drinkable especially for the abv
O: a sweet TIPA from OH that delivers some very rich in your face creamy tropical flavors. Wouldn’t call it a restrained beer, but I think it’s excellent (if you know what you’re getting yourself into)
