Riwaka comes through big time with some Citra and Strata for company. Lush with passion fruit, sweet grapefruit, lychee and a little strawberry and dank.

Cloudy pale gold, mild fluffy head and lacing with a lasting life. Dank citrusy and tropical fruit scents. Taste is milder and subtler similar flavors as the nose. Crisp, clean, mouth watering finish, extremely well disguised booze. Interesting in its understated nature.

Picked up a single from the Hot Spot gas station cooler on Brevard Road 11-26-24 for $5.79. Canned 10-9-24; consumed 12-27-24. Stored in the beer fridge since purchase.

Beer for a hazy golden orange with an okay head that dissipated quickly.

Nose is very nice as the tropical and citrus fruits stand out.

Taste is well done as well as the larger but light pale malt base displays the hopping which give me orange and mango primarily and a touch of strawberry on a minor note. Finishes with a slight touch of pith to let you know it is an IPA; 6/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel is light bodied but oh so creamy smooth making it a delight with each sip,

Overall, another solid Other Half IPA!

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Big rocky head, forming a bright white top that easily reaches three fingers. Good staying power with an island top and puck, with some faint clingy lace. Solid lemon curd like looking body, opaque but not totally turbid and pretty still looking.

Nice hits of subtle hop aromatics. Tropical notes hinting at pineapple with mixing sweetness and a hint of faint dank quality. Earthy tone gives to more sweet green herbs slightly as well. Some nice variances in here that you can explore, quite enjoyable and not overpowering either.

Palate stays a bit simpler. Neutral simple malt base but supportive. Mid palate hits with a mix of pineapple and earthy dank qualities. Finishes with mellow bitterness, almost lemon citrus fruit and zest aftertaste. Hints slightly chewy body also, and some more lingering heat like bitterness of hop and herbs that goes nicely.

Even at nine percent this is hardly even noticeable, as the beer feels considerably more tolerable and less boozy too. Nicely done.
