Collaboration with J. Wakefield Brewing.
Brewed with Mostra Coffee Roasters Philippine Sitio Belis & Coconut with out pals J. Wakefield Brewing, and with Mostra Coffee to choose a coffee for this stout, we landed on Sitio Bells that has a creamy, smooth body and notes of milk chocolate, honeysuckle, cinnamon and Meyer lemon. Complex and powerful enough to play nicely with the macaroon cut coconut we use, also from the Philippines.

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear extremely thick viscous jet black in color with light amounts of fine active visible carbonation along the edges of the glass and very faint dark chestnut brown + dark cola brown + dark garnet red colored highlights. The beer has a quarter finger tall dense creamy foamy dark mocha head that quickly reduces to a couple of very small patches of thin film and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Minimal amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of dark roasted coffee along with moderate aromas of toasted coconut over slightly stronger than moderate aromas of dark + roasted + chocolate + caramel + toasted malts with moderate amounts of lactose + burnt brown sugar sweetness.
T: Upfront there are slightly stronger than moderate flavors of dark + roasted + chocolate + caramel + toasted malts with moderate amounts of lactose + burnt brown sugar sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of toasted coconut and moderate to strong flavors of strongly brewed dark roasted coffee. Finally there are hints of earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of roasty bitterness which lingers for quite a while leaving behind chocolate + coffee + coconut flavors behind.
M: Full bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation. Slick, almost oily.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol for such a big beer and a very pleasantly full slick mouthfeel. Enjoyable with very well combined flavors and aromas from the chocolate + coconut + coffee.

This one pours a fairly dark black, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like roasty coffee, nutty malt, peanut butter, licorice, tobacco, and roasted malt.
This is super unique, kinda weird, and definitely delicious. The sesame paste sort of tastes like a cross between peanut butter and tobacco, in a good way. There's also caramel, vanilla, and a rich, creamy coffee character.
This is thick, creamy, and with very little booziness.
This is one of the better OH stouts I've had in a little bit now. I used to love them a lot more than I do currently, and it's nice to be reminded of why that used to be.

This gifted bottle poured into a snifter left no head, but had a distinctly coffee aroma and somewhat of a bite which is what I would expect of a stout with this ABV. This bottle was labeled 12%. Overall a very drinkable stout which became tastier with it having warmed in the glass.

Pours very thick and viscous, extremely dark, aggressive pour yields no head, just an oily slick on the surface. Great coconut aroma with minimal coffee in the background. Flavor is sweet coconut, brown sugar, light coffee, sweet cream, vague chocolate. Amazing. Extremely vivid flavors.. I like how the coffee melds in the background instead of taking over, like in so many other beers. Very thick and viscous, oily. Minimal carbonation. Overall, one of the best coconut imperial stouts I have ever had. Would like to buy more.
