Picked this up from Other Half a few weeks back, as I hadn't had anything from them in ages. Not the biggest fan of Nelson but I love the Hop Monsoon and Hop Showers beers from Other Half and this was good enough to win me over to that particular hop, as this showcased it beautifully in simple fashion!

Gosh, what a pour to this as this was a beautifully, subtle deep apricot with a radiant glow and nearly-perfect head. The lacing was extensive with nicely-defined rings that bled down to the ones below, as they were quiet extensive all the way down the side of my pint glass. Tons of melon, citrus, and tangerine cream in the nose as the taste burst forth with those in a wondrous proportion of bitterness, cream, and fruit that was bright, dank, and sweet all at the same time. Orange blossom floral notes, ripe cantaloupe and papaya, and a nice amount of Nelson that made me feel like this had some white wine wood and grape all combined for a smooth and luxurious mouthfeel that ensured that this would go down easily...

...and a lot of that had to do with the recessed alcoholic presence of this beer. How this was 10% was beyond me as I hardly tasted it and only felt a mild warming effect once I fully finished this off. The carbonation was present, pillowy, and complemented the liquid perfectly as this did not last long in my pint glass. Canned on 12/28, this was one of the biggest surprises that I've had from Other Half in quite some time as I've enjoyed plenty of brews from them over the years and have seen everything from them. It's stuff like this that keeps me coming back for more!

Poured into a16 oz long stem tulip glass canned on 12/28/2020. Pours a hazy murky orange with a 2 finger sticky off white head that leaves massive streaks of lace with incredible retention. 4.75

Aroma ripe melon, mandarin, papaya, apricot, and some buttery Chardonnay. 4.5

Taste follows cantaloupe, mandarin, papaya, apricot, and a nice buttery Chardonnay finish that lingers nicely on the entire palate yielding just a hint of alcohol. 4.5

Mouthfeel is big, nice creamy soft carbonation, maybe a little sticky but not dry, and at 10% ABV it goes down very easy and makes you savor every sip. 5

Overall this is a really impressive NEDIPA from in my opinion one of the best at the style. Incredible stuff. 4.5
