Collaboration with District 96 Beer Factory.
8% with Citra, Strata, Kohatu, Ekuanot and a sprinkle of Citra Cryo on a lean malt bill seems like the right way to start off 2021. This one is jammed with all the Snakefruit a beer can handle.

Picked this up at Other Half recently as I was excited to give this a go. District 96 has quickly become one of my favorite breweries as I'm always up for anything that these two brew together. No doubt that this lived up to the anticipation as it was incredibly smooth, tasty, and easy to enjoy with trademark flavors and mouthfeel from both parties involved!
This looked like any of their more well-known beers as it was golden, hazy, and topped off with plenty of fluffy, long-lasting head. A *ton* of lacing stayed around down the side of my pint glass for the duration as it was quite extensive with hints of rings emerging in the middle of it. Not a terribly strong aroma to this as there was plenty of mango, papaya, snakefruit, deep orange, candied sugar, and tangerine cream in the nose as the taste was more dank and had a massive amount of pink grapefruit with hints of swamp water and turbid, pity hops underneath that. Amazing mix of hops to this that melded well together as it was hard to pick any of them out in particular but the malt was just present tough to give this a bit of bite and body while staying in the background as the snakefruit easily lasted through every sip and beyond.
Just the right amount of alcohol was in this and the carbonation was present, but not overpowering, as the slick mouthfeel was as juicy as any New England IPA from Tree House or Trillium. Once again, this needed a date on the bottom of the can but besides that, this was a clear winner that ranked among the best that either brewery has released in recent memory. So thankful to liver near these two and to have gotten my hands on this, as it easily deserves another go-around!

Pours cloudy orange color with a 1 finger thick foamy off-white head that faded very slowly and left excellent foamy lacing sticking to the glass. Smells very juicy and dank, with lots of citrus like tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, mango, lemon zest, butterscotch, sweet malt, caramel and grains. Some earthy notes that seem spicy and fruity like grapefruit pith. A really nice smelling brew.
Tastes just as dank as it smells with tangerine, grapefruit, orange peel, mango, lemon zest, honeydew melon, sweet malt, caramel, bread that’s buttered, coriander, faint pineapple, some piney notes and chalky yeast. A touch of bitterness helps hide the ABV and allows this to go down really easy.
