Two of our favorite hops of the moment, Strata and Motueka, team up for the first time for us. Expect tropical fruit, creamy berries, and candied lemon-lime.

Another juicy, citrus dominated OH IPA that comes in mid-range as far as aroma, flavor and ABV. Tangerine, grapefruit and tropical fruit with just enough malty sweetness to keep it crushable. These 6.5% ABV IPA’s from Other Half are my go to socializing brews as they’re packed with taste, but still allow you to have a great time.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Pale lemon custard yellow, solid and opaque and unmoving. A real fine creamy forming head, nearly nitrous and an easy three fingers tall. Settles nicely with a real soft top and rings and sheets of light bubbled lacing. Real impressive head.
Very nice hop angle. Simple tropical hop note, more towards a light pineapple. Hints of creamy like sweetness somewhere in the vein of cream/vanilla as well. Hints maybe even a little candied orange citrus as well.
Palate seems to keep it simple. A nearly wet session like feel, but just enough to keep the flavors flowing on subsequent sips. Mid palate continues with no surprises, but a touch more towards pineapple and orange, with maybe even a hint of fizzy soda in the mix too. Finishes slightly gaseous, with more of clean and rocky mineral water mixing in with the nice fruit character as well.
Very nice toned down IPA.

01-04-21 stamped on bottom of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Hazy pale yellow with 2-finger off-white frothy head with good retention and snakes of lacing.
S: More tropical than my last couple of OH beers with passionfruit, guava, and strong melon combining with orange citrus notes.
T: Flavor is an integrated blend of lime, passionfruit, guava nectar, honeydew melon, and orange with fruity estery finish. Alcohol is well-hidden. Bitterness is low-medium.
M: Very cushioned and soft with medium body and low-medium carbonation.
O: The first two cans of this I had were not as aromatic or flavorful as this can so OH got lucky this round. One more can to trial this beer — this can was exceptional, with new fruity flavors popping out to create a complexly hop flavored NEIPA.
