Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Very opaque and solid looking body. Thick, but not turbid appearance, with an interesting greenish yellow color. The color really seems to accentuate a classic NEIPA head, bright white and fine bubbled, with a classic creamy top. Slight touch of fine bubbled lacing, but lots of staying power. Beer does however look a tad like it is frozen.
Nice aromatic hop on the nose. Hits a little earthy and bitter, with as nice dank sense with a hint of tropical fruit. Quite pungent actually, the dank notes seem to get a little more bigger as the beer settles. Tropical fruit note is a little indistinct.
Palate is real nice. Smooth and rich and creamy mouthfeel, touching hints of herbal bitterness of leafy hop. Mid palate hits with a slight melon to pineapple note, but then wallops a good solid earthy mix of smokey to weedy aromas, and sweet tasting malts for balance. Finishes with grassy notes and green hop bitterness that borders on mint and chewing gum hinting sweetness.
Real nice tasty beer. Fruit angle pops up once in awhile, but I nice sharp earthy bitter bite keeps this interesting.
