Other Half Brewing - Center Street

Pours dark orange color with a 2+ finger thick foamy eggshell colored head that faded slowly and left really nice lacing rings as it went down. It looks like a glass of guava juice. Smells sweet and sugary up front, with fruity candy, pineapple, orange juice, tangerine, orange peel, sweet malt, caramel or brown sugar, papaya and tropical fruit. Tastes just as sweet as it smells, which I expected since it is a 10% ABV brew. Like the nose there's a sweetness that strikes fist with the fruity candy, pineapple, tart orange juice, tangerine, grapefruit juice, bready malt, caramel, apricot, papaya and tropical fruit. Additionally I got Razzles candy, lime and graham cracker along with hints of booze. This was not the typical smooth drinking OH IPA, as it was thick in the mouthfeel and very bitter.

 

 

 

I enjoy triples and didn't find it overly boozy. It's quite tropical with a pleasant mouthfeel. This is a part of Other Half's FreakWeek series. Each one has been pretty awesome.
