Pours cloudy gold color with a foamy 1-2 finger head that faded slowly and left good rings of lacing as it receded. It smells skunky and earthy up front, with some wet cardboard and biscuit hitting my nose before the faint grapefruit, orange peel and citrus notes come through. It's very soft and very subtle, possibly by design but different for an OH DDH IPA.
Taste is more like a typical OH brew with grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, biscuit, floral notes and some mild spices, but this is very middle of the road for these guys. Thankfully "middle of the road" for OH equals tasty and enjoyable.

Picked this up at Other Half recently, as well as bunch of other brews including the 7th Anniversary. Had the Line at Garnet last year but this wasn't quit like that as the hops were different and the end result was a beer that was enjoyable, soft, and largely unmemorable since it was plain and slight too dank for my taste.
The pour to this was pretty typical for a beer from these guys as it was golden, hazy, and topped off with a pleasing head that was plenty bubbly at the top. There was a good amount of lacing left behind as there were some decent hints of rings along the top half and plenty of spotty suds the rest of the way down. Lots of dank hops, swamp water, and deep floral notes in the quiet nose as the taste was a bit more bright and pronounced. Orange rind, bitter and earthy hops, and tangy pink grapefruit emerged in the taste once this fully warmed up as this had a nice feel to it although I never really got the hang of this beer.
The malt was basic, the carbonation sufficient, and the alcohol nearly unnoticeable as this left behind a nice slickness with a good amount of stickiness on my lips from the papaya-like fruit that was subtly present. Canned on 1/26 with "PARLIAMENT TRUNKADELIC" written underneath it, the Bru-1 was a bit unusual for me but overall, this was still enjoyable for me to kick back with. Worth a go once for something just a bit different.

Poured from a can (26Jan2021) into a pint glass
L: pours a slightly dark but overall creamy orange gold with a great dense white head. Leaves some moderate lacing as the head fades
S: strange (almost thought I had COVID) but there's practically no aroma on this thing. Nothing bad mind you, but there's really no notes - nothing fruity, tropical, dank, vegetal, anything. So strange, never encountered this in an OH IPA. Maybe the slightest tropical character if I really hunt for it, but barely
T: there's a bit more going on here than on the nose (luckily!) but not by much. Kind of this muddled very slight tropical flavor, and toward the end a slight piney/resiny bitterness comes through. Like the nose, nothing bad and certainly drinkable, but there's just not much to this beer
F: medium body, medium+ carbonation, fairly smooth, easy to drink slight drying bitterness
O: a confusing beer honestly. I don't mind drinking it, but at the same time there's nothing really to it? Not a drain pour, but not delivering the OH experience I want
