Like all of our "Gems" series beers Citra is in charge but is bolstered by delicious additions of our hand selected Motueka and Nelson Sauvin from Freestyle Hops.

Pale orange haze poured into a Teku glass. Earthy hop aroma note complemented by over ripe sweet fruit. Very crushable and drinkable with little sense of this being a triple. Sweet fruit notes with some raw cane sugar hints. Stone fruit, melon and pineapple all hinted at. The alcohol is noticeable on the finish but. O overpowering.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Feb 4th 2021.
Fluffy and rich topped white head, reaching an easy three plus tall finger height. Very creamy looking, nearly whipped up and creamy. Body color definitely bends to turbidity, a muted dull yellow and solid looking body.
Interesting hop aroma. Very grassy sensing, but with a mellow sweetness hiding in the background. Lots of earth and green grass pungency, almost like a fresh cut lawn but more dank and earthier sensing.
Palate is quite interesting. First sip is a rich sense of grass and almost liqueur like heat. Mid palate gets into a cantaloupe and pineapple like tropical richness of fruity. Boozy but quite controlled, hits with a strong finish of grass and earth, with a minimal mix of sweet sugar sweetness. Faint touches of limoncello like lemon and candy also.
This is a very interesting TIPA, and one of the more better controlled one's I have had in a long time.
