Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 12/13/23.
Appearance: light yellow-orange hue with plenty of haze and a thin layer of eggshell foam atop. Not a bad looking beer.
Smell: sweet, of course, with an interesting hop profile that is minty, a little bit grassy, earthy, just a little bit dank, and just a little bit fruity. Not quite what I associate with Citra and Galaxy. It’s weird … I like it.
Taste: there’s some light passionfruit and maybe even a dash of grapefruit flavor above the sweetness here, but that minty element remains, as does a light earthy grassiness. Odd. I do like it, but it’s maybe not my favorite flavor profile out there.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and a really nice creaminess for the style.
Overall: kind of an odd duck, this beer, at least to my palate. Not bad at all, but just … not something I’m going to be seeking out every day, you know?

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer that hangs around and leaves plenty of thick lacing.
S: Slightly resinous, grassy, and spicy, citrus zest and juice, tropical and stone fruit, a touch earthy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Big tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, pineapple, apricot, peach, mango, plus hints of guava and melon, zesty juicy citrus works is way forward, grapefruit, tangerine, and lemon lime, spicy resinous notes, subtle herbal earthy undertones, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: On the fuller side of medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, yet still soft on the palate
O: Other Half + Citra & Galaxy. I'm in. Came in with (obviously) high expectations, bouyed by the high ratings, but tried to not let that bias affect things. Genuinely fell more and more in love with this one as I went along. Great intensity and beautifully balanced. I think they hit the perfect amount of hops; any more and you'd just get burn instead of flavor. Absolutely fantastic beer!

poured from a 16oz can into a CW snifter. pours a thick, hazy orange with a creamy white foam head of roughly two fingers. equal aromas of citrus from the citra hops and tropical fruit from the galaxy. taste follows with a much bigger punch of galaxy to me. dank weed, grass and ripe tropical fruits. thick, full mouthfeel with a smooth and creamy finish. doesn’t drink like 8.5% even as it warms. really good.

16oz can dated 12/20/22.
Pours cloudy yellow with an inch-plus head of white. Pungent citrus in the nose with grapefruit, lemon-lime, unripe peach. Medium bodied with a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Grapefruit pith, pineapple and grape skins, lemongrass on the palate. Finishes dry and pithy.

Pours a bright pale straw, foamy head. Smell isn't too strong, like a mild spritz of grapefruit. Taste is tart, pungent, but with warm undertones of honey, cinnamon. Well-hopped. Pleasant overall.
