Collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing NYC
We dreamed this up with our friends Evil Twin Brewing NYC and it contains an interesting mix of our hand selected Simcoe, Strata, Nelson Sauvin and Motueka. Definitely a new hop combo for us and we are excited about it.

Pours a chalky pale straw, consistent with a frothy head. Nose is uniquely sour, evokes a sweet tartness like clementine and orange peel. Tastes of light citrus with earthy undertones. Light-bodied and quite hoppy, not for the faint of heart.

Pours cloudy orange color with a 2 finger thick whipped off-white colored head that faded very slowly and left excellent foamy lacing in a camouflage pattern.
Smells comes off as soft with tangerine, orange peel, orange juice, orange creamsicle, honey, fresh cut flowers, herbs, wet grass, malts that seem like moldy bread, fruit and a musty basement. They went for an interesting mix and the aroma is definitely different.
Tastes odd as well. It’s tart and sour, with sweet sugary notes along with earthy hop aspects like tea leaf, grass and vegetables that are starting to rot. Some tangerine, orange and grapefruit come through, but then it reverts back to the strange earthy mix. This one is a head scratcher for me. It’s not bad, but I doubt I’d drink it again.

This lives up to the name.
If you are primarily a fan of the juice-bomb, tropical fruit bowl flavors of many OH beers, this may not be for you.
This is definitely a tropical fruit-savory-slightly herbacious/vegetal mix of flavors.
Tropical fruits, jackfruit (almost a meaty fruitiness to it), paw-paw, a definite celery-celery salt note, white pepper and earthy/green hop components.
Not my favorite OH beer, but one I am glad to have tried. Well made. Wants food.
