Strata is one of the best new hops on the market with strong fruit and weed notes. Dank, but clean, with big complex fruity flavors of passion fruit, strawberry and citrus. Paired with our classic soft bodied malt and water bill from the "All ---- Everything" series.

Pours hazy, bright yellow in color with one inch head. Taste is chardonnay and kiwi with floral hops. Medium body, slightly bitter, low carbonation. Excellent and unique dipa. The body is fantastic. Really impressive.

Taster at Finger Lakes location. Hazy yellow pour with ring of head. Aroma is lemon curd, grassy, floral. Taste is lemongrass, floral, lime peel. Very zesty but light.

Picked this up recently at the Bottle King in Chatham, as it was refreshing to find something this good available in these parts! I'm not the biggest fan of Strata and this didn't necessarily win me over to the hop although this was an enjoyable beer that was relatively soft, easy to drink, and had enough going for it when all was said and done.
The pour to this was a brassy gold with a *ton* of dark sediment floating everywhere in it. That was a bit surprising given that this wasn't very old and was stored properly. Enough head topped this off as the lacing left behind was quite deep and layered, with the suds covering a majority of my glass. Lots of Hawaiian Punch, jack fruit, and overripe stone fruit in the nose as the taste was just as heavy-handed, slick, and softly balanced. The booze emerged more as this warmed up as there were hints of dew, forest, and dank fruit that warmed me up nicely on this cool late summer night.
Some wheat and oat gave this a full feel on the palate and a slightly sticky and cloying aftertaste Papaya, cantaloupe, and melon stayed around long after this went down as the sediment didn't have any burn to it. Dated 4/29 with "08:48 D.C" written above it, I didn't mind this but it would have been great to have a fresh can - even at the expense of the bit of green that this picked up over the last three and a half months. Fans of Other Half will enjoy this although it's not among their best single-hop offerings...
