Pours a dark plum color with two fingers of strongly purple-tinted head. Decent retention and spotty lacing.
Restrained peach, blueberry and tangy yogurt in the nose. Maybe a hint of buttered-popcorn saltwater taffy way behind as well.
The taste is less fruity and less tangy than expected. Lightly sour with clear blueberry, but not much peach. A hint of the artificial popcorn butter shows again. Fairly dry, mineral water-like finish.
Medium bodied for the style with a little tight zip to the carbonation.
This is a tasty, easy-drinking beverage. When you see that color, though, you expect a fruit explosion. A bit of a let-down in that respect, although still plenty enjoyable.
