Poured from 16oz can into, appropriately, my BeerAdvocate teku. This is a DDH DIPA brewed in collaboration with Monkish. The can clearly states it was brewed by Other Half Brewing, although there is a Monkish entry for this beer as well on BA: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/28657/399685/
Appearance: hazy, murky, dark pale orange body, with a thick finger of frothy ivory foam that leaves a persistent lace on the glass.
Smell: quite sweet with a slightly dank, earthy hop aroma. It's not super complex, necessarily, but I like it.
Taste: sweet, dank, earthy, just like the aroma. There's some zesty citrus rind around the edges; bitterness is low. It's not bad but come on guys, there's more out there than milkshake IPAs.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and actually quite a good creaminess. This is where any complaint I have about milkshake IPAs always falls down, of course. They just feel so good.
Overall: this is a tasty beer, to be certain. But again, it is sweet and thick and not really a session drinker.
