Picked this up recently at Other Half as I loved the label - given the role that McDonald's has had in the days of the line share. So hard to find out anything about this beer but regardless of it's origins or background, the end result was a tasty brew that went down as easily as a cup of coffee from the Golden Arches!
No surprise that this had a golden hue to as it looked like a typical brew that I've come to expect from these guys. Tons of thick, fluffy head topped it off as once again, the big bubbles floated to the top. One well-defined ring stuck around near the top with a ton of soapy suds the lingering the rest of the way down the side of my pint glass. Some white chocolate, soft tropical fruits, and a hint of dank hops were in the nose as some fruit cocktail, pineapple, deep forest, and soft cantaloupe entered the mix on the palate, A hint of tangy lime and exotic fruit stuck around in the aftertaste as the malt was recessed and the carbonation just present enough to keep this from feeling too heavy as quite a bit of sticky pulp stayed on my lips after this completely went down.
The booze was a tad heavy but it was only felt on my breath and nowhere else during my time with this. Canned on 3/9, it was hard to find out anything about this beer as it had this very subtle slickness, bitterness, and chocolate that I'd find in a cup of coffee. Not sure if it was the label with the peel-off section that made me think of this but like a good coffee, this easily called for another while idling the day away. Too bad the refills on this weren't free as I only had one can on me...
