Dark golden color with just a touch of ruby redness. Both hoppiness and malt on nose as I would expect in a barleywine (NOT a balance of the two). Just way to boozy on the taste. Yes, it's a 10%'er, but the alcohol needs to be much better hidden. Overpowers whatever I could discern on the mouthfeel.

16 oz. can. Amber body. Smells of toasted bread, light grapefruit, a little caramel. Tastes of toasted bread, booze, sweet caramel, a little bitterness. Medium heavy. Nice aggressive hop flavor, backed up but a substantial sweet caramel malt. Good.
