Clear, pale gold appearance with an average size white head and good lacing. Subtle doughy, malty, herbal aroma. Flavor starts of a little sweet as the grains work their magic. Hops finally show up to add some depth with a floral, herbal accent. Finishes on a spicy note. Crisp and smooth overall.

Pours a clear straw yellow color with visible carbonation. A fingernail length foam white head retains well.

Nose opens with light notes of sulfur, but quickly reveals sweet notes of bready and biscuity malts. Aromas that follow include a touch of caramel, cracker, hay, sweet grass and earthy spices.

Malt forward taste showcases doughy and soft round biscuity and bready malts, mixed with crisp cracker and toast. Well balanced with earthy and grassy spices, bright lemony hops flavors and a developing but clean bitterness.

Medium to light bodied. The mouthfeel opens smooth and slightly chewy, but becomes more crisp. The finish is dry with some earthy spices lingering in the aftertaste. The carbonation is moderate to lively.

Other Half Brewery is of course well known for their prolific IPA output, however, they demonstrate here that they can make an adequate, well balanced and easy to drink Lager.
