The first blend in our series of Brett forward mixed fermentation pale ales, this was brewed with locally malted Pilsner, Wheat, and Honey malt, and fermented in stainless with Brett Anomala. This beer then spent a further 8 months in oak with one of our favorite house cultures. Hopped in the whirlpool with a nice dose of Strata, and supported by both Wai-iti and Hallertau Blanc, this beer showcases bursting aromas of sweet orange peel, ripe tangerine, and lychee. The earthy, floral, and citrus notes carry onto the palate where they combine with a subtle malty sweetness and mild acidity.

Not used to bottle offerings from Other Half nor much else than their hazy IPAs. It sure looks very nice with a rich copper amber hue and a nice whipped buttery looking head. Typical pungent sour nose heavy on the yeasty front and not much else. Taste improves on the nose because the yeasty sourness takes a bit of a backseat to some stone fruit notes like cherry and underripe peach. The sour comes back at the finish. One thing bothering me is the feel because the effervescence is just over the top doubling in size in the mouth.
