Field Studies is a mixed culture table beer designed to showcase the beauty and delicacy of all things naturally occurring in our unique little area. Our first blend is a simple exploration of the wild yeast and bacteria that the cool Bloomfield night air has to offer. Starting with a traditional base of 50% NYS Pilsner and 50% NYS White Wheat, this beer was 100% fermented with a yeast blend captured and cultured from our first Coolship brew. Initially fermented in stainless, it was quickly racked into French Oak barrels where it spent the next 6 months maturing. This beer is bright, delicate, and effervescent, with notes of green grape and lemon hard candy.
