Additives are muddled. Big bourbon flavor and ethanol heat covers most else up. Age hasn’t done this any favors.

Bottle from OHFLX.
2021 version continues Bubble Wrap collab between WeldWerks, the Veil, and OH, but also adds Side Project this time.
Label indicates BBA Stout with Hazelnuts, Vanilla and Cacao Nibs; abv 14.5%.
Another strong entry.
Served at 50 degrees in snifter. Deep black pour with no head. Rich rusty tan head emerges at about half finger after pour completed. Beautiful … though head quickly dissipated.
Nose has understated BBA notes with prominent vanilla and hazelnuts. Barrel becomes more noticeable as beer warms.
Taste mirrors nose but chocolate is much more obvious; though still behind the vanilla and nuts. Really delicious slightly roasty big full Imp stout. It reminds me a bit of the amazing vanilla forward stouts Cycle brewing did for their 6th anniversary.
Mouthfeel is a blend of super velvety body with gentle but still slightly bright carbonation. Then there is also a mild but very noticeable burn that may be associated with abv. Kind of Avery-like.
Didn’t affect my enjoyment but made me wonder if a few years laid down is the preferred or intended way to enjoy this very good good brew.
Top notch big stout that doesn’t fail to impress. Very glad I picked this up!
