From a 16oz can, dated 12/17/21. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.
Pours a hazy dull orange with a finger-plus of pouffy head. Retention is very good, leaving a sudsy cap and a tattered curtain of lacing.
Aroma is… I don’t know how else to say this, Tree House-like. Peachy bubblegum. You know what I’m talking about.
Taste totally follows the nose, this is OG Monson. Peach, pineapple, bubblegum, a little watery grapefruit at the finish.
Feel is juicy, medium-light bodied and brightly carbonated. There’s a weird kind of slick greasiness feeling - I ate a cookie just before I opened the beer and I’m trying to sort out where the greasy feeling’s coming from - but honestly, I think it’s the beer.
Overall, wow. Every so often OH cans a beer that’s indistinguishable from Tree House. This is one of them. It’s like a time warp: Set the way back machine for 2015 Monson, Massachusetts, Sherman.
