Hazy, golden color. Big, white head. Pineapple, oat malt, and lactose in the aroma. Smooth and soft taste with moderate hoppy bitterness. A good hazy IPA.

This was another beer that I picked up last year at Other Half in Brooklyn and took a while to get around to. While Galaxy is not my favorite hop, these guys are good enough at what they do that I'd take anything that featured it and sure enough, this was another winner as it was incredibly plush and left me wanting more once I finished it off!
Like nearly anything else from these parts, this was golden, hazy, and topped off with plenty of frothy, soapy foam. Absolutely gorgeous lacing was left behind as the rings were deep, well-defined, and bled down to the next. Golden and dank in hue, the appearance was indicative of the nose and taste as there was plenty of melon, dank hops, and milk sugar in both with the end result being a beer that was heavy-handed on the palate but completely inviting at the same time. If you love Galaxy with the edges smoothed out, then there's no need to look any further than this offering!
A lively carbonation, subtle presence of lactose, and creamy aftertaste only drew me in more as this did not last in my glass for very long. Celery and scallion spice emerged in the aftertaste the carbonation was lively and the booze understated as much as possible. Canned on 5/25 of last year and brewed in Brooklyn, this held up extremely well as I'd easily give it another go-around should I come across this again. So much to love here as this proved, once again, how much Other Half kills it when the chips are down!

On tap. White head. Lace. Hazy pale golden color.
Pineapple, mango, orange. Hoppy, but tropical. Has a good bitterness to it. Better than the TG OH collab I just tried, but slightly. Both solid IPAs.

poured from a 16oz can into a P3 pixel density nordic pint glass. pours a milky, hazy orange with a fluffy, bright white foam head. dank, resinous pine and tropical fruits on the nose. taste follows with a grapefruit bite at first and then a big dank weed finish. full mouthfeel. this thing really pops after about 15 minutes in the glass / out of the fridge. galaxy for the win and this is galaxy done well.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy yellow pour, small silky white head, lacing. Sharp, grapefruit peel aroma, astringent. Taste is citrusy and dry, lemon, grapefruit, earthy. Although Galaxy isn't one of my favorite hops, this showcases it pretty well.

16oz can dated 10/25/22.
Pours cloudy gold with two inches of rocky froth. Plenty of tattered lacing and persistent retention. Peach, white grape, orange in the nose. Medium bodied with a soft, fluffy mouthfeel. Ripe tropicals on the palate with minimal malt or bitterness. White peaches, orange, mango, grapefruit. Finishes juicy and fairly dry.

30$ for a four pack of 16oz cans!?!?! Sheeeeeeeeesh!!! Probably the most expensive four pack I've ever purchased.
Look: Pours an opaque pale yellow with a two finger, satin white head of fine foam that laces the glass exceptionally well. Head retention is superb, lasting for about three minutes.
Aroma: Pleasant aroma of sweetened condensed milk, bitter orange rind and baked banana with notes of granola / pie crust. You can tell from the nose this has a good amount of oats.
Taste: I'll be honest; I'm disappointed. The taste is very mellow. Oats aren't nearly as noticeable as the nose would suggest. Mostly the flavor is comprised of restrained notes of pineapple and sweet orange with very, very soft notes of milk sugar in the background and just a touch of sugar cookies lingering somewhere in between it all. There is a pleasant note of spicy apricot on the back end but it's merely an afterthought, and overall the entire tasting experience is short lived. On a side note I'm not getting any of the passionfruit notes typically associated with galaxy hops.
Feel: The body is very underwhelming. It's very light for a cream ale, especially a double dry hopped "imperial" cream ale with oats. This is way too snappy and light. Low carbonation. Featherweight body and texture. I guess it's sessionable? But that's not really what I was looking for when I read the label, I was really expecting something rich and hearty with a long finish.
Overall: Extremely disappointed with this. Was it bad? Absolutely not. Was it worth the price? Absolutely not. There's just not enough body to this. I like my cream ales creamy and rich, not crisp. The flavor is alright, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're in the market for something heady and complex. This is an imperial pale ale that drinks like a session. Very underwhelming and watery for what it advertises to be, especially considering how expensive it is.
