Brewed with J. Wakefield, 8th State, Phase Three, and Weathered Souls. We asked our friends to send us some barrel-aged stouts to blend with our own barrel-aged stouts for this collaboration. For this 8th anniversary blend, we decided to keep a singular focus when it comes to adjuncts and focused solely on coconut to try to make it the best expression of a coconut imperial stout we could.

On tap at Other Half Finger Lakes in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and no real lacing.
This smells like rich and candied toasted coconut, creamy dark chocolate, vanilla, and oak.
This is surprisingly focused for a stout from Other Half. The coconut is clearly the star here, and done very well, with a toasty, sweet, and deep coconut flavor. There's dark chocolate, some light vanilla-like flavor, and a touch of oak bitterness, without any specific bourbon characteristics.
This is thick, rich, and just slightly syrupy, with no booziness to it at all, which is par for the course for the big OH stouts.
This is easily one of the better OH stouts I've had in a while - some of them are just so messy and ridiculous.
