Inky black pour topped with a beautiful, creamy head. The aroma delivers classic roasted malt and coffee notes. The flavor leans dry and malty, finishing with a firm roasted bitterness that lingers pleasantly. Smooth and incredibly easy to drink.

Pours a dark cocoa brown, 0.5" creamy head with an aggressive pour, little lacing or retention. Nose is cocoa, metallic, cola, moderately dark malts. Taste is sweet up front, coffee liqueur, cola, light alkaline bitterness. Feel is soft and moderately full, especially for a non-nitro can. Overall, this was a bit too sweet for me, but on the whole better than average.

Transforms a double walled pint glass form clear to essentially black, with very dark brown highlights (SRM 38+). 2” of golden beige foam forms a tight head and is not quite a cream. This gradually settles for the entire session. The head clings to the glass, forming a shallow convex elliptical cap and leaving a coating of lace above.
The roasted malt is mild and accompanied by a similar level of sweet black coffee. While simple, this is quite seductive.
Following the aroma, the flavors have the same mysteriously alluring call of lightly roasted malt and coffee beans. It is bittersweet with a light touch of sourness. The finish is long and faint, whispering as it draws one back for another sip.
The body is a bit more full than expected, for this style. The texture is creamy with light carbonation. Alcohol is barely noticeable and primarily in the dry finish.
What a tasty Stout! I could easily while away the hours, contemplating my prowess, or in casual conversation with friends. This is a great sessionable beer. A tad high in the abv. so just take it slow, relax.

Great version of an Irish Dry Stout. Poured into a Libbey. Onyx color with a thin creamy head. Very mild bready aroma. Nice slight bitter flavor. The tame abv makes this one an any day of the week choice!

This beer pours dark cola brown and settles in the glass nearly black after the most beautiful cascading tan head permits the body to settle. Absolutely gorgeous stout. The nose features a bit of roast and a subtle toffee note, which works well.
The taste has the roast and toffee, and there’s an herbal taste as well, which actually works. The mouthfeel is a bit watery, but otherwise this is an OG dry Irish stout that I’d always have in my beer fridge if I had regular access to it.

On nitro tap at Other Half Finger Lakes in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty spot on, er, bang on, for the aroma, with some roasted malt, a sort of herbal bitterness, and chocolate.
This is a bit thin and watery, but feels like a pretty reasonable and accurate take on Guinness, which is also thin and watery. I do like it more thna Guinness though.
This is creamy, but thin and watery on the finish, with a pretty decent drinkability.
I'd want a bit more a full flavor here, but it feels bag on for what it's trying to emulate.
