Pours a viscous ebony with a thin brown head. Vanilla and roasted malt aroma. Sweet chocolate flavor due to marshmallow with the slightest hint of cinnamon. Lush OH mouthfeel with gentle carbonation. Overall, despite the over abundance of adjuncts, this is a quite enjoyable imperial stout!

Ebony with a 1/2" tan head, which fades to a wisp. Light lacing.
Aroma is marzipan, vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate, cinnamon.
Taste follows nose: marzipan, vanilla, hazelnut, chocolate, cinnamon.
Full body, light carbonation. Sweet finish.
Pretty sweet for a beer. Very good none-the-less.

Pours very dark, minimal head. Aroma has lots of chocolate, some sweet vanilla, and I notice the hazelnut a bit. Very light cinnamon. Flavor is milk chocolate and hazelnut, lots of marshmallow. Very creamy. Overall a pretty tasty pastry stout.

Poured from the bottle into a teku glass.
Inky pour slightly with an oil sheen, but looking a bit lifeless with barely a collar to speak of when completed. Closer inspection shows a slightly muddy very dark brown like body color, and faint whisps and some legs on the glass.
Aroma consists mostly of heat, but there are some classic added flavors. Boozy hints of nougat and vanilla but mostly lots of alcohol. Surprisingly hot sensing for even twelve percent.
Palate makes a considerable improvement. Sludgy and thick body, but surprisingly not syrupy with lots of mixed flavors. Starts off hinting of dark chocolate, then goes more into a gooey caramel quality. Sweetness is surprisingly tolerable and toned down a bit from the hinted nose. Flavors get a little more complex, more of a heated spice, and gets into unexpectedly a black licorice like taste. More vanilla as the beer warms up.
It seems the added cinnamon which doesn't come through in taste so much, has made more of a punch in the heat. However, while the beer doesn't start off on it's best footing, the palate shows a lot of character and even diversity. Comes through a bit tougher to drink though than expected.
