If Philly has taught us anything, it is that the addition of broccoli rabe basically makes everything better, so anything that bears that name better do the same. Brewed with Citra, Cashmere, Simcoe, and plenty of Pennsylvania-grown oats from our friends over at Deer Creek, Rabe is a super crushable pale ale built specifically to improve the combination of Adirondack chairs and plenty of sun which are pretty awesome by themselves.

On tap at Armsby Abbey in Worcester, MA.
Ugly hazy but great head and lacing. A bit chalky.

Had it on tap while enjoying live jazz at The TRESTLE on Sodus Point. Am a big fan of Cashmere, Citra and Simcoe…so definitely enjoyed the hop bill.
All in all it was very much in the OH wheelhouse…but having so many OH trademarks for appearance, flavor and mouthfeel in essentially a pale ale was a very pleasant surprise. Thumbs up.

Hazy yellow appearance with a loose white head, low retention, spotty lacing. Taste notes of grapefruit, star fruit, faint lemon. Medium body, crisp mouthfeel.

This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like citrus, grapefruit, and all that, with some pine, and stone fruit.
This is very classic Other Half, there’s just a touch of pine, but mostly creamy and juicy hop character, stone fruit, citrus, and all the typical IPA adjectives you can think of.
This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, and pretty drinkable.
This isn’t wildly different than anything else they do, but I enjoyed it.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Ripe citrus, juicy tropical and stone fruit, light pine, floral notes, super faint coconut, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Bright citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and a hint of grapefruit, tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, passion fruit, mango, and guava, a touch of pine, floral notes, faint hints of coconut, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Super tasty NE Pale Ale.

16 ouncer, canned just a few days over 2 months ago.
Pours out all juicy/hazy/cloudy, with nice looking sheets and fields of fine lacing.
Bright and pungent tropical fruit infused sniff, with the "regulars" all coming to the party....Pineapple, mango, lime all joining in the fun.
Delicious creation with more of the same on the palate. Bright, flavorful, complexly enjoyable. Ripe pineapple abounding. Plus more mango, apricots, bananas, lime, mint.
Mighty fine...go get some
