Had this one with my morning coffee. Wow!!

Poured into a clear glass. The color is a very dark blackish and brown mix. The smell is excellent and to me and consists of maple, Bourbon, and something like vanilla. The 14.1% ABV brings a nice, warm taste to the experience and I look forward to my next bottle.

2022 version. Poured cellar temp to a snifter. Color is ominous dark chestnut, with coconut floaties on top. This has everything and the kitchen sink in it. Nose is prominent sweet maple with a leathery backbone. First sips bring up the maple and hints of molasses, with a decent bourbon and barrel wood bite to cut through. The body is very complex, but not hammer to the head. It’s subtle and genteel, where you can find all the flavors if you take enough time to enjoy sips, large and small. No alcohol bite or warming, but about ten minutes after it’s gone, you’ll really feel that 14.1%. Lingering flavors abound with nuances of nuts and bananas and general sweet indulgence. Sure, Indrank the whole bottle, but it’s probably “better” as a smaller share among friends.
