It's hard to believe it's already been 9 years, what a ride! For our 9th Anniversary, we leaned hard into two old favorites, Citra and Galaxy, to bring notes of lychee, sweet peach, and passion fruit. Low-key additions of Belma and Cashmere Cryo add a touch of soft stone fruit and strawberry.

Look: pale straw, hazy, creamy head, sticky lacing
Smell: citrusy, grapefruit, dank tropical, boozy
Taste: grapefruit, pine, citrus pith, resin, peach, strawberry, melon, spice
Feel: thick body, moderate carbo, pithy and sticky
Overall: OH11-10% abv DDH Triple IPA. She's a bit boozy but everything else about her is on point delivering a very powerful brew. Dank tropical notes on the nose and an incredible array of intense citrus flavors on the palate. This brew punched me right in the mouth and kept on hitting. Tastes of grapefruit, peach, strawberry and melon rocked the tastebuds with pine, resin, citrus pith and spice in the mix. Good bitterness and sticky on the finish. Pair her up with Five Magics by Megadeth and enjoy the ride. Cheers!

Tropical and citrusy hop aroma and flavor with a decent amount of hop funk. Decent balance with light bitterness. Medium to full-bodied and lightly creamy with a funky hop finish.

Looks like a bright bubbly golden cylinder, effervescent with a sticky head.
Smell is bright and dewey, grapefruit notes, tangerine, cane sugar
Tastes like its abv implies, almost like a triple.
Medium-bodied but well-hopped.

Picked this up a while ago at Rockefeller Center, and took forever to get to this since I was away for much of last year. Miss going there every Saturday morning but this was good enough to bring back some of those pre-pandemic memories, as it tasted and felt exactly as advertised.

Golden ad hazy, this has a ton of head that topped it off as it took quite a while to settle down. Gorgeous lacing remained it was quite deep, to the point where there weren't any rings in particular visible. The aroma was quite mellow, which was this brews only drawback, as there was enough lychee, strawberry, and fruit patch discernible once this warmed up. The sweet peach, plush hops, and stone fruit aftertaste emerged on the palate with a nice balance, subtle sweetness, and underlying creaminess that made this oh-so-easy to drink.

I warmed up a bit while having this although the alcohol was not readily detectable on the palate, although one more can probably would have knocked me out for the session. Nothing written on the bottom of the can and a lack of sediment only added to this beer's appeal, as it aged nicely and never felt skunked or heavily carbonated. Love getting the anniversary offerings every year from these guys and this was on par with those I loved in the past!

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy bright yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy floral undertones with some juicy notes with light fusel notes also perceptible. Taste is a mix of citrusy floral undertones with some juicy notes and residual sugar notes. Body is full with good carbonation and some perceptible alcohol notes. Huge NEIPA with light alcohol notes showing.

There is a substantial amount of powdered hops here. Its 40 days down the road and it is balanced and nicely drinkable, but the hops are not super hero level.

Found this 10% IPA to be more harsh and boozy than some more well made triple IPAs that are very sweet, smooth and cream with the alcohol well hidden. None of that is present in this one. A miss by Other Half.
