Served in a snifter glass from the bottle.
Appearance: Deep dark brown motor oil brew with a dark tan head with an initial rise of maybe a nudger over half a finger's length off the body.
Smell: Chocolate and cocoa nibs through your nose like a knife cutting through ham.
Taste: Very complex brew, sweet and dense chocolate with hints of espresso and vanilla beans mixed with does of bourbon and light lactose sugars. If devil's food cake were made to drink, this beer is it.
Mouth: Sticky thick body with a ridiculously sticky body.
Overall: Honestly might be the best imperial stout I have had this year. Salud!

L- Pours an oily black viscous brew....no head.....no lacing....no light passing through this beer
S-Dark bitter chocolate, anise, barrel, booze, coffee....some vanilla, brown sugar
T-Dark chocolate.....lots of booze and barrel..some coffee notes...finish is vanilla and milk sugar
F- Thick and oily.....leaves a slick coating in the mouth ...alcohol burn....this is a real belly warmer
O- Very boozy....lots of heat....not much coffee until the end....beer mellows as it warms

Coffee, chocolate, pralin, molasses. Not overly syrupy or thick, sweet but not sickeningly so. But def enough of what you look for in a classic imperial stout.

Bottle. No head. Thick. Dark brown, black color.
Lots of bourbon and fudge. Oak and vanilla. Coffee is smooth. Light roast, not burnt or bitter. Chocolate dipped espresso beans. Warming bourbon finish. Another excellent offering from OH.
