This was one of the Pastrytown beers from last year that I was able to get my hands on, as I picked this up in Brooklyn. Took forever to get around to it but thankfully, this held up well as it was as smooth as a beer of this strength could be. If you love Other Half's offerings of this type, you won't be disappointed with this brew!
Bright as juice and plush as a pillow, this had the look that I've come to expect from these guys. A gorgeous head of level lacing topped this off as the suds left behind were deep and extensive - as if they were etched on my pint glass. Lots of orange pith, jolly rancher sweetness, and mild citrus as fresh-cut grass, light scallion spice, and lactose emerged on the palate once this fully warmed up. Make no mistake - the booze was here and everlasting as it complemented the Citra and other flavors nicely, although it made for a slow session since the warming was in full effect from the get-go!
A faint carbonation was present until the end as there was a bit of dark sediment at the bottom. That would be my fault as this had a canning date of 2/14 of last year. Produced in the Finger Lakes, I'm glad this was available in this neck of the woods as it featured the hop nicely and left a soft peach, nectarine, and stone fruit aftertaste that left me wanting more. Even after all of these years, I still love Other Half and a beer like this is a good example of why that's the case!

Pours a light hazy golden color with a slight head and lacing
Aroma has very pleasant grapefruit and lactose hints
The taste follows the nose with a very pleasant silky grapefruit and lactose flavor
A medium bodied well carbonated beer
A great TIPA
