Our friends at Hoplark teamed up with us on a project making beautifully hopped sparkling waters and hoptea's. We made 4 in total, 3 regular OH brands and one brand new one, Tall Kiwi. Tall Kiwi is hopped with some our favorite hops, Citra, Nectaron and Riwaka. This IPA is kicking off big tropical notes like lychee, sweet pineapple, passion fruit and some sweet peach

Canned 10/29/25 so not particularly fresh. Pours a lemon-yellow color with medium haze. Nice nose of citrus and tropical fruit, and similar taste. Nice NEIPA and would have been even better if more freshly brewed.

Dated 11/26(?)/24, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a pale, murky yellow, copious foam. The foam does not seem to go away no matter how much I sniff it. Aroma is deep, very spicy and vegetal. Some very green notes, as well as hints of pineapple. Not incredibly pungent, but I'd pin that on age. Flavor is a different story. It retains the green ideas but follows up with fleshy but not sweet notes of grapefruit and mango, which I'm coming to find is signature to Other Half. There's a decidedly savory note to the fruit as well which is delicious, and it can't decide if it's bitter or sweet. Tons of funk and/or skunk on this one too from the Nectaron and Riwaka. Mouthfeel is great as well. There's a long finish to the green fruitiness and a sticky, musky flavor that lingers. Body is high and all flavors are full, but still very easy to drink.
This was the first Other Half can I saw sent to Tennessee, and I hope they send more. Even if this is one of the less popular beers, it still is head and shoulders above most of the local IPAs in terms of smoothness, drinkability, and complexity. Tennessee has nailed wild ales and lagers, but has yet to produce NEIPAs that can stand up to the East Coast.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Pale custard lemon colored body, and very solid opaque looking. Bottom of the glass provides some slow motion carbonation action, as some faint fine white bubbles can be seen congregating towards the top. The head is a rich shaving foam lather of four big fingers, and ice cream scooped retention. Shiny topped, thick but playful bottom, and a neat take on the haze appearance.
Great hop aroma up front. Forward pressing hits of cream and thick tropical fruit, almost papaya but light pineapple and touching lemon like citrus notes. Punches a touch grass spicy as well, giving lots of room to explore the hop varieties of flavors that are present.
Palate drives well. Simple but not juiced up backbone for the mouthfeel, provides a good but basic foundation. Hop classic notes of pineapple, slightly touching vanilla cream, but more emphasis on a grass herb flavor that matches well. Light finish, with just a real pleasant sweet herbal tea like flavor to go with it.
Quite a nice almost light bodied NEIPA that has a great flavor profile.

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This has some big peachy vibes, with lots of passionfruit, orange, grapefruit, and lychee.
Most of the beers I’ve had with Nectaron tend to be really intense on the candied fruit vibes, and this is no different. There’s a ton of peach and passionfruit here, definitely the dominant flavors, with some grapefruit pith, a touch of melon, and some orange. There’s not a ton of bitterness here, just soft fruit vibes.
This is light bodied, very creamy, and really drinkable.
This is definitely one of the better OH IPAs I’ve had lately – it actually stood out as being notably different than some of the other ones they do.
