This was another beer from Other Half that I picked up in June of last year and took forever to get around to. Loved the label and the collaboration and thankfully, the liquid in the can was on par with those from start to finish. Soft and plush all-around, this hardly felt like an Imperial IPA as it was just like what I've come to expect from these guys!
Nice pour to this as the muted goldenrod hue let just a bit of light through it, as it was topped off with a foamy and uneven head that was solid and slow to settle. Most of the lacing left behind was in the form of rocky clumps near the middle of my pint glass with a few scattered dots everywhere else. Tons of peach, sticky citrus, exotic fruit, and a hint of dank hops in the nose as some dewy grass, lychee, light tropical fruit, malt, and wheat rounded out the taste. Lovey body and a lively carbonation kept this fresh, even though it wasn't in actuality...
That's because this was canned on 5/26 of last year in D.C. but amazingly, there wasn't any sediment to be seen as it was just as lovely as I pictured it. While just a tad boozy, it didn't take away from the lovely array of flavors, as I'd easily have this again if given a chance. Once again, Other Half has a winner that's perfect for spring!
