Hey Echo, please hop this banger of a HDHC DIPA with huge amounts of Citra, Citra Incognito, Citra Cryo, Motueka, Motueka Cryo and Luminosa. A special treat planned out with friends during a fun night in Paso Robles during Firestone Walker Invitational.

Holy Lord, what a tasty beverage!
Pours nicely. Milky pale yellow with a glossy meringue head that stays and leaves a trail of sloppy lacing. The nose is intriguingly tough to describe. The flavor too. Even after having two cans to reflect on I am not even going to try (too hard to split those hairs, even for me). There is classic citra sweetness and a light almost-tartness that balances an underlying hefty hoppiness. Together it forms a uniform, balanced lupuline onslaught. Flavor follows, with more motueka (I assume) coming through there. Just a fruity avalanche of deliciousness. The mouthfeel is exactly what you want for the style. There is a lingering hoppy tartness that makes the edges of my tongue tingle and want more. Very nicely constructed beer. This beer is more than the sum of its parts and judging by the combo of well-known collaborating breweries, they end up also being more than the sum of their experience. What's most interesting to me about this beer as an educational experience is that I had a can of this a couple nights ago, and though I thought it was very good, it didn't (to quote a long-gone friend) "put my dick in the dirt." Well now it has. Maybe it was a bit too cold the , maybe I was tired (no question about that), maybe I was having an off day. Anyway, all that to say, this is a fucking delicious, enjoyable beer.

From a 16oz can, dated 07/17/23. Served in an imperial pint nonic.

Pours a cloudy, milky lemony-gold with a finger of soft, soapy suds. Retention is pretty good, leaving a foamy, bubbly cap and a solid sheet of sudsy lacing.

Nose is not especially strong but, what there is of it, is clean and pleasant. Light citrusy aroma.

Taste is light, bright, tart and juicy. Tasting lemon juice, orange peel, grapefruit juice, lime juice - did I miss any citrus? - and kiwi. Lime juice grows stronger and more dominant and a purple berry note edges in. Moderate bitterness in a citrusy sort of way and, unexpectedly, a little pine resin in the finish.

Feel is juicy, clean as a whistle, no more than medium bodied and brightly carbonated. Super-easy drinking which, at 8.0% abv, has very real consequences.

Overall, wow, best for last! I had 6 four-packs shipped in last week and this is the fucking prize of the lot! The can label promises me ‘lychee, lemon-lime soda, fruit punch, and oranges.’ I’ve never had lychee (!) but, otherwise, can label is pretty much spot-on.

Can label also states that this is collaboration between Other Half, Monkish, Oxbow and The Veil - another party I wasn’t invited to.
