16 ounce can poured into a glass mug.
L: Clear gold-amber pour, 2” white head, dense foam is persistent and leaves rings of lace.
S: Bready malt, light spicy hops, some citrus notes as it warms.
T: Balanced to hop, citrus peel over white cracker malt, medium bitterness, sharp overall, assertively bitter floral aftertaste with hints of honey sweetness underneath.
F: Highly carbonated, crisp medium-weight feel.
O: Lacks depth of malt, very IPL-like.

From the pint can, it pours a clear light golden color with a very nice starkly white head that slowly reduces and leaves some lacing. The nose gets something that is hard to describe - not the most enjoyable. The mouth gets a lightly bitter, slightly sweet brew that leaves a modest slightly bitter aftertaste.

Other Half doesn’t miss much but this one disappointed greatly. Some overcarbonated bitterness is the best this delivers. I guess NEIPAs are OH’s expertise, this Oktoberfest is a major toe stub.

Light clear caramel, small head but with solid retention and lacing. Nose has spice (noble hop and baking), tannic hop notes, citrus peel and wood. Taste follows - tannic barley and roast notes. Only mild sweetness, however, so falls decisively on the dry, bitter end. Medium weight and creamy feel overall.

This one pours a light rusted orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like lightly spicy hops, caramel, rye bread, and some toasty nuttiness.
This is significantly better than the festbier that they did last year – this has tightened up nicely. It’s a nice balance of sweet and bitter, in the right proportions, with a lightly toasty and lightly sweet malt backbone, and a pleasantly spicy hop bitterness.
This is light bodied, and clean, with a great drinkability.
Other Half has an inconsistent lager program, but they do have some hits every so often, such as this one.
